Jared Peno
CEO / Managing Partner
Jared is on a mission to create exceptional businesses by forging extraordinary teams. He is a firm believer in purpose-driven work that ignites individual passion and commitment. Further, Jared aims to preserve the legacy of great American companies by unlocking the potential of those around him, pursuing meaningful labor, empowering supportive teams, and targeting conscientious business goals. He loves helping his clients use technology to advance their businesses goals and additionally helping them create market advantages so they can realize greater profits.
Jared is an electrical engineer by degree but an avid entrepreneur at heart. In addition to helping his clients realize their potential through IT, he is also on a mission to help 1,000 future business owners take the plunge and create sustainable businesses by sharing lessons from his career on social media.
Jared dedicated his life to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and leads his business like he leads his family, with compassion and servitude.

Steve Brown
CIO / Managing Partner
Steve Brown’s background includes some 36 years of experience in the technology industry. This includes 13 years as a network engineer at Bridge Information Services and stints at SSE and Partec. He also served as Director of Network Services for a St. Louis-based IT firm. He has extensive experience in nearly all facets of Information Technology and the growing area of cloud computing and managed services.
Steve manages Alliance’s Network, Cloud Computing, and Managed Services for all Alliance clients. He also oversees all technology-related operations for the firm. Our clients appreciate his wealth of knowledge and ability to proactively provide solutions no matter how complex or standard the design of the computer network. Steve plays a major role in continuing to expand Alliance Technologies LLC on a local, national, and international basis.
Dave Schnardthorst
Sr VP of Operations
Dave brings a vast array of Enterprise IT experience spanning 30+ years. Throughout the course of his career, he has worked in a variety of capacities, including starting out in applications development on open systems platforms, infrastructure design and performance tuning, database performance management, Cybersecurity, and Configuration Management. Dave’s career includes companies such as Enterprise Rent-A-Car, JP Morgan Chase, Deutsche Bank, and AT&T. These experiences have helped to develop a deep knowledge of the various technologies, integrations, and workflows necessary to build a stable and resilient technology stack.
During his tenure in technology, Dave has worked with industry leaders to build high-quality, reliable, and stable solutions to meet business objectives and financial goals. In addition, he has continued to help build highly effective teams that share a passion for helping organizations to with selecting and implementing the correct technology solutions for their businesses.

Steve enjoys date nights with his wife, entertaining family and friends, Beethoven, the B52’s, album-oriented progressive rock, cooking with some of the highest performing kitchen cutlery on planet Earth, and fixing stuff.

Betty was raised on a farm in Hermann, Missouri, and her roots instilled in her a strong work ethic and a down-to-earth approach. She graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia. Betty manages the financial landscape of our company including financial reporting, accounting operations, payroll, benefits, and billing.
Betty managed ATG’s financial and human resource functions, introducing new strategies with substantial growth in services, locations, and staff over the course of fifteen years. The company’s remarkable services eventually caught the attention of Cognizant, leading to its acquisition. Betty played a pivotal role during this acquisition, taking charge of the HR and financial integration of ATG with the Fortune 200 company.
At Alliance Technologies, Betty’s goal is to foster growth and success within the industry, driving us towards greater heights. With her trustworthy nature, Betty is an invaluable asset to our team, propelling us towards a thriving future.
Beyond her professional life, Betty volunteers with church youth and 4-H programs through the University of Missouri extension, showing her commitment to giving back. In her crazy life, Betty enjoys working on her family farm, reading, and mastering the art of quilting.
Melissa Byers
Director of Operations
With a 25-year career in the IT industry, Melissa brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team. Leading our IT operations, her passion for customer support shines through as she fosters strong relationships with our clients and ensure smooth functioning of our service delivery teams.
Her love for the fast-paced, ever-changing nature of IT allows her to thrive in this dynamic environment. With an unwavering commitment to excellence, she consistently delivers innovative solutions and strategies that keep us ahead of the curve.
As an active member of the SIUE CMIS Executive Advisory Board, Melissa is passionate about developing future IT professionals and contributing to SIUE’s CMIS program.
